Our Story
Delha (دلها) means hearts — a Persian-speaking family in Vancouver learning to follow Jesus together.
Delha Vancouver Persian Church started with a simple hope: that Persian-speaking families in Greater Vancouver would have a place to worship in their own language, raise their children in faith, and find real community far from home.
What began as a small gathering of friends around a table has grown into a church family — newcomers and longtime Vancouverites, young and old, people exploring faith and people who have followed Christ for decades. We are not perfect, but we are sincere.
Our name, Delha, reminds us every week why we exist. Church is not a building or a program. It is people — hearts — brought together by the love of God.
Where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.
What We Do
Through worship in Farsi and English, Bible teaching, prayer, and everyday friendship, we help one another know God, grow in faith, and love our neighbors — starting here in Vancouver.
Where We're Going
We dream of families rooted in Scripture, children who know they belong, newcomers who are embraced on day one, and a church that serves Vancouver with generosity and hope.
These are not slogans on a wall — they are the things we try to live out together.
We lead with warmth, not judgment. You are welcome before you have everything figured out.
New to Canada, new to church, or returning after years away — there is a place for you here.
We teach the Bible clearly and honestly, trusting God's Word to guide our lives.
We worship across generations — children, parents, and grandparents sharing one spiritual home.
Most people do not arrive with a roadmap. This is simply how many of us have found our place.
Come on a Sunday, send a message, or watch a sermon online. However you start is the right way to start.
Stay for tea after service. Join a conversation in Farsi or English. Let someone learn your name.
Read the Bible together, pray with others, ask honest questions. Faith grows in community, not isolation.
Use your gifts to bless others — in the church, in your neighborhood, and among Persian families who still need a welcome.
Come See for Yourself
The best way to understand Delha is to sit with us on a Sunday morning. No pressure — just people who are glad you came.
